Overeaters Anonymous is a Fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength, and hope, are recovering from compulsive overeating. We welcome everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively.

There are no dues or fees for members; we are self-supporting through our own contributions, neither soliciting nor accepting outside donations. OA is not affiliated with any public or private organization, political movement, ideology, or religious doctrine; we take no position on outside issues.

Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and compulsive food behaviors and to carry the message of recovery through the Twelve Steps of OA to those who still suffer.

Everyone, is  invited  to the HOW meetings in the  Bay  area;  Mon noon,  W and F  5:30 pm  and Sat 10 am.

This is good on the computer because you can see all the people on the screen at the same time.  the phone only shows a few people on the screen at a time.  But either works, and you can use both at the same time. You won't be seen if you don't want to be.
You can access Zoom on your computer or phone. I recommend you register so you can save your meetings on your calendar.

Computer: go to zoom.com and near top right click 'Join a Meeting'. Copy/paste the link of the meeting you'd like to join and hit the big blue join button.

Smartphone: Download the Zoom App from App Store or Google Play. Once you have it downloaded, click on the meeting link you want to join, from your email, and choose open in Zoom Meetings.

Important Message from your  Valley Sierra OA HOW  Intergroup Chair Lynne T

Donations to Intergroup, OAR2, and  World Services

Hello everyone!
Concerning making our 7th Tradition donations to our meetings, Intergroup, Region 2 and World Services:

We do not know how much longer the pandemic will prevent us from giving our 7th Tradition donations to our meetings and expenses are being incurred by meetings using Zoom, our Intergroup, Region 2 and World Services.

Some meetings have asked members to hold their donations until the meetings can restart in person.  But we don’t know how much longer this will be.  If you are so inclined, we would welcome your sending in your 7th Tradition donations now for the phone or Zoom meetings you have attended.

You can send your donations individually to your meeting rep, Intergroup, Region 2 and World Services (details below),
or
You can send your donations to Cat, our Intergroup Treasurer, and tell her what meeting you are donating for and how much you want to go to Intergroup, Region 2 and World Services, or if she should just do her usual 60/30/10 split.  Intergroup address is below.

7th Tradition links to Donate:
Intergroup - Mail check and make out  to:
Valley Sierra Intergroup OA-HOW
P. O. Box 398
Coulterville, CA 95311

Region 2:

World Services:
https://oa.org/contribute/

7th Tradition to your Meetings:

Contact your Meeting Secretary or Treasurer for a name and address to mail your check for Meetings you didn’t attend f2f.  Advise if your donation is just for the meeting (if you have donated separately to Intergroup, Region 2 and World Services), or if your meeting Treasurer needs to split your donation to them when your Treasurer sends in meeting donations to Intergroup, Region 2 and World Services.
Lynne T - Intergroup Chair
